About
Our Mission
We are here to educate about
Locational and Place Knowledge Throughout our curriculum we do this by developing contextual knowledge of the location of globally significant places - both terrestrial and marine - including their defining physical and human characteristics and how these provide a geographical context for understanding the actions of processes.
|
We are here to explore the Physical and Human Geography of our Planet
Throughout our curriculum we do this by ensuring pupils will understand how human and physical processes interact to influence and change landscapes, environments and the climate; and how human activity relies on the effective functioning of natural systems.
|
We are here to improve your Geographical and Fieldwork Skills
Throughout our curriculum pupils have the opportunity to develop greater competence in using geographical knowledge, approaches and concepts [such as models and theories] and geographical and fieldwork skills in analysing and interpreting different data sources.

Happy Geographers
Katherine H. Year 13
'I love Geography because it gives me a insight to what’s going on in the world around us. I love that it allows me to understand things that I wouldn’t be able to if I didn’t take geography as one of my subjects. I love how it isn’t just about the environment it’s also got social and economic features.'
Katie R. Year 11
'I love Geography because of the way I am able to learn about the world and understand how each of us have an impact on what happens to our earth.
I love the relationship that you build with your teacher and how they are always so supportive and are always there to help.
I love the way that when your learning it is always interactive and you walk out of the classroom every lesson knowing that you have learnt something new.'
Ellie S. Year 11
'Geography is one of the most relevant and significant subjects you will ever study. It comes in to use every day and it falls into every aspect of human life. Not only that but it highlights the role each of us plays in the development and sustainability of the environment while showing what it’s like to live in another person’s shoes. For me, geography at Fulston has expanded my knowledge and led me to discover my passion in understanding the importance of the environment in regard to human wellbeing.'
Julia M. Year 13
'Geography has helped me stay connected with what is happening in today's world, as well as what has happened in the past and what could happen in the future. The geography department is so enthusiastic and helpful that it made me want to learn more. Taking geography has helped me in more ways than one.'
